Compatibility Chart
NOTES:
1. Tronix Explorer XT compatibility is much larger than
Explorer 1200. Due to Explorer XT's increased power
rating, several flash units and power packs that
were not compatible with the Explorer 1200 is now
compatible with the Explorer XT.
2.
This chart will be
updated continuously showing both models.
3.
For Elinchrom BXri 500 users, some posts over the
internet, the Explorer XT appears to be working
fine. However, we have not yet completed it's full
compatibility tests and necessary updates to make it
100% compatible.
Before
making any purchase, please check the compatibility
of your flash unit with the Explorer. Use this chart
as your guide.

Helpful tip:
If your brand or model is not listed, check its
power ratio control. This control is usually located
either at the back or side panel of your flash unit.

To check if
it is compatible:
If
the power ratio control (power ratio variator) is a
rotary or a slide switch, it is compatible with the
Explorer. It is also compatible when the flash unit
has no or basic (1/4, ˝, 1) power ratio control.
§
To check if
it is not compatible:
If
the output control (power ratio variator) is digital
and has a digital read-out, the Explorer may or may
not work with your flash.
**NOTE: There have been conflicting customer reports on
these models, there have been customers who says it
is compatible while there are also customers who say
otherwise. In this regard, to ensure customer
satisfaction, these models are not recommended for
Explorer

Reported incompatibility with EL Style BX 110V /230V
model. Subject for further verification.
